The Church is the People
Day 1: The Church Is People, Not Buildings
Reading: Acts 2:42-47
Devotional: The early church didn't have elaborate buildings, programs, or technology—yet they turned the world upside down. Why? Because they understood that the church isn't a place you go; it's who you are. They devoted themselves to teaching, fellowship, breaking bread, and prayer. These four simple practices created a community so vibrant that people were drawn to Christ daily.
Consider your own life: Are you treating church as an event to attend or a family to belong to? God hasn't called you to maintain a building; He's called you to be His living temple, carrying His presence wherever you go. The church exists when believers gather in homes, coffee shops, or workplaces—anywhere two or three are gathered in His name. Today, ask yourself: Am I being the church, or just going to church?
