Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me..."
Matthew 19:14
Scripture reveals that children are special to Jesus. In one instance, parents were taking their children to Jesus for Him to pray for their little ones. Jesus welcomed this act of trust and dedication. When the disciples thought that Jesus was much too busy to consider any of these children he responded to the disciples' actions by saying, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these" (Matthew 19:14). There was never a time when Jesus turned children away. He always welcomed and included them in His ministry.
As Jesus was concerned with children, so should the local church. Faith Baptist Church will always be a place where children are welcomed to grow in faith and knowledge of their Savior, Jesus Christ. Our mission at Faith Baptist Church is to partner with families to plant the seeds faith in the lives of children, so that as they grow their faith will grow with them.
Faith Baptist Church has two ministries designed for children: Sunday School and Kid's Club. Sunday School is held on Sunday mornings at 9:45 am and we have classes for all ages. Our Kid's Club program is held on Wednesday nights at 6:30 pm during the school year and is open to all children preschool through sixth grade. An evening at Kid's Club includes singing, a Bible lesson, craft time and game time.
