Reading: 2 Timothy 2:15; Luke 14:28-30

Devotional:

Before Jesus launched His disciples into ministry, He commanded them to wait for the Holy Spirit. Just as a hunter prepares before the hunt—learning the weapon, scouting the land, understanding the terrain—God calls us to prepare spiritually before we act. Rushing ahead in our own strength leads to ineffectiveness or even harm. True preparation means studying God's Word, surrendering to His Spirit, and learning to hear His voice. What area of ministry or service is God calling you to? Before you rush forward, ask yourself: Have I waited on the Lord? Have I allowed His Spirit to equip me? Anything worth doing for God is worth doing His way, in His timing, with His power.
